Classic Eyelash Extensions

What are classic eyelash extensions?

Classic eyelash extensions are individual extensions placed one by one onto the clients natural lashes. A full set of classic extensions can help enhance the natural lashes by adding length and density.

What do classic eyelash extensions look like?

Classic eyelash extensions can look different based on each individual's natural lashes. The density of the lashes can vary based on the density of the clients natural lashes. Eyelash extension length can also vary based on what the client wants and what is best suited for their natural lashes as to not cause any damage from excessive weight.

How long do classic eyelash extensions last?

Classic eyelash extensions can last up to 3 weeks before needing a refill. Our natural lashes go through growth cycles and as the lash reaches its last cycle it will shed and a new natural lash will grow in. This means to maintain the look of your full set of classic extensions, you need to be returning to the studio to replace those lashes that have shed.

How often should I get a fill for my classic lashes?

You should get a fill every 2-3 weeks for your classic lashes. Getting a fill at the 2 week mark is the average for most clients and their natural lash growth cycle. If you have a slower growth cycle, 3 weeks will be optimal. Anything past 3 weeks is abnormal and is usually too long to wait for getting classic lash extensions filled.

How long do classic eyelash extensions take?

Classic eyelash extensions take approximately 2 hours to apply. Providing a quality full set of classic extensions means that we individually apply an extension to each of your natural lashes. Doing this takes time and should not be rushed.

How are classic eyelash extensions applied?

Classic eyelash extensions are applied to the natural lashes using a specially formulated adhesive. We use fine point tweezers to carefully separate the natural lashes to apply one individual extension to each natural lash. Classic extensions are always a 1 to 1 ratio; 1 natural lash gets 1 eyelash extension.

How much do classic eyelash extensions cost?

At dhesthetics, a full set of classic eyelash extensions is $110 plus tax, a  2 week fill is $60 plus tax, and a 3 week fill is $70 plus tax. A complimentary aftercare kit is included for all new clients.

Can you put mascara on classic eyelash extensions?

No. You cannot put mascara on classic eyelash extensions. Lash extensions are a replacement for mascara. Putting mascara on your eyelash extensions will break down the adhesive bond and cause them to shed pre-maturely. Mascara’s are usually oil based which is something that should be avoided with lash extensions.

Can you wear eyeliner with classic eyelash extensions?

You can wear eyeliner with classic eyelash extensions as long as it’s oil-free. Many eyeliners are typically formulated with oils, which is something that should be avoided with eyelash extensions. If wearing eyeliner, make sure the lashes are thoroughly cleaned at the end of the day to avoid product build-up and premature shedding.

Can you get classic eyelash extensions wet?

Yes. You can get classic eyelash extensions wet after 6 hours of getting a full set or a fill. The adhesive used for eyelash extensions needs 4 to 6 hours to properly cure, after this period, classic eyelash extensions can get wet without repercussions. That being said, it is not recommended to expose lash extensions to prolonged periods of moisture.

Can you wear classic eyelash extensions with glasses?

Classic eyelash extensions can be worn with glasses. Lash extensions are fully customizable based on the clients desires. For clients with glasses, we recommend going with a shorter extension that has more curl so that they do not brush your glasses while blinking.

Do classic eyelash extensions ruin your real lashes?

Classic eyelash extensions do not ruin your real lashes. A quality set of lash extensions applied properly by a certified and experienced artist will cause no harm to your natural lashes.

What is the difference between classic lash extensions and hybrid lash extensions?

The difference between classic lash extensions and hybrid lash extensions is the type of lashes used and the density. Hybrid eyelash extensions use a mixture of volume lashes and classic lashes, making the set look slightly denser and “fluffier”. The application process is still the same for hybrid lash extensions.

What is the difference between classic lash extensions and volume lash extensions?

The difference between classic lash extensions and volume lash extensions is the density and type of lashes used. Volume lash extensions use thinner extensions that are made into a fan of 3 to 15 lashes that is then applied to one individual natural lash. This technique is what makes volumes much denser than classic eyelash extensions and creates a more dramatic look.
